Clutter Free Desk WHAT???

I've been tackling the Clutter Free Classroom Project and we are in week number 5.  I skipped 4 (for now) because I don't think I was quite ready for that challenge yet.  This weeks challenge was to organize my desk/work area.  I was so excited about this challenge this week and there are lots of great tips on the blog post.
So, here it is...

And one of the drawers- oh my!

So I started going through the drawers... just one a day.  I got my "keep" and "donate" baskets ready...

Look what I found... I'm not even really sure what these are or what they are used for.  I found them in a "toolbox" that I inherited from another teacher.

Ha!  At this point I thought to myself... WOW!  This is apparently WAY overdue. LOL!

Throughout the week I really tried to analyze what I wanted to keep on my desk.  I decided that the least I had, the better off I would be.  So, I found a place for many of the things that were on my desk.  Here are the AFTER pictures:)  I am so excited!

Now I've just got to keep it this way!  If you want to join the Clutter Free Classroom Project, you can check it out by clicking on the picture.

  1. Those little gripper things are used to hold up chart paper, etc. on your white board. You wedge the long end under the top metal frame of your white board. When you want to hang something you lift up the curly edge and tuck it under. Boy that box looks like it predates white boards though!

    1. It was pretty funny. I think if I would have attempted to use them, they probably would have crumpled into pieces because they were a little rusty:)

  2. I am one of those out of sight out of mind kinda gals! Everything looks clean to the eye, but don't go digging in my drawers ;) A few times a year, I clean it out and make it look right again--I need to just keep it tidy in the first place ;)

    1. I'm dreading getting to a few of my cupboards... it is not going to be pretty:)

  3. You did an amazing job!!!! I love the before and after pictures.
