WOW! As I write this, I am reflecting back onto all of the awesome teachers that I met a couple of weekends ago at the Spring Teacher Blogger Meet Up! I was a little nervous- you know- meeting up with a bunch of people you really don’t know other than through the world of technology! So, I recruited two of my co-workers to come along with me! We took a half-day off of school on Friday and traveled south about 5 hours. When we arrived, we went to casino for a little while and then listened to a band. The people watching was phenomenal! We didn’t meet up with any other teachers on Friday but had a blast in each other’s company!
On Saturday, we all met up in a large room in the hotel (French Lick, Indiana). There were over 100 teachers there! Of course, everyone started mingling and to get the party going we all had to describe ourselves on different “letters”. Then, we introduced ourselves to the group and made the word “INSPIRATION!”
We cannot thank the companies enough that donated gifts to every teacher!!! Here is what we got:
Creative Teaching Press!
Vera Bradley Tote!
We even had an Oprah moment!
Holly's "Oprah" moment!

My teaching partner Kelly won some Book Baggies from Seat Sack Inc. She says she will go to any students house who doesn’t return it- that’s how awesome the bags are!
After meeting and talking with one another all afternoon we went and got some food and geared up for the PJ Party! The PJ Party was sponsored by Teachers Pay Teachers and Go Noodle! How amazing is that?
At the PJ party, we spent more time socializing. We had a little photo booth action. I met a new friend Kimberly from Loving Kinders!
(Dustie, me, Kelly, Kimberly)
Finally, at the PJ Party, we had MORE giveaways! I couldn’t believe it when I won an Origami Owl necklace filled with teacher charms!
I REALLY want to go to Vegas this summer! I am 90% sure that I can go- but I can’t imagine being in the company of even more amazing teachers! I will definitely be going to the 3rd annual Spring Teacher Blogger Meet-up next year!
