Disguise a Turkey and Gobble the Goodies Linky from I Teach K-2!!

We are back at it!  A group of dedicated teachers want to share some Thanksgiving ideas and FREEBIES with you to help you get through this time of year!

The last few years we have done a Disguise a Turkey project!  The first couple of years, we did it in class... yes, I said that right... in class!  What in the world were we thinking???  Actually, it was my teaching partners idea- she really gets into these crafty things...

And then last year we suddenly had a "lightbulb" moment!  Why aren't we sending these home and letting the students work on them with their family.  It was WONDERFUL- for us anyway (hee hee). We couldn't believe how creative they got so we are doing it again this year!  I decided to put it out there for others to use as a FREEBIE in my store.

I send home a letter from Mr. Turkey (with samples on the back), a plain white turkey, and a piece of black construction paper.

Here are some samples from last year!

Angry Bird

Mermaid

Christmas Tree

Hot Chocolate

Baby

Spiderman

Artist

  1. I did something like the turkeys in disguise years ago - like we are talking 1998! I may have to try it again! Thank you!
