Math and ELA Toolbox for Back to School in the Classroom or Distance Learning

Hey friends- how are you holding up?  I've got to be honest- I am STRUGGLING!  We start school in less than a month and we still have no plan.  I'm not one to get stressed out by situations and I have been stressed with this one.  But, I am realizing (slowly) that I can only control what I can control!  So, one way I can do this is by trying to prepare myself for both in-class and virtual.

So, I've created a School Toolbox that can be used in the classroom or kept at home for parents.  Even if we are in class, students are going to have to have their own supplies.  I plan to keep common "tools" in a 3 prong folder so it will be easy to use and find.  I am going to either use plastic page protectors or I will laminate many of the "tools" that can be used over and over again using a dry erase marker.

Classroom

There are other options for the classroom other than a 3 prong folder.  You could also use a binder, storage container, or a "bucket" of some sort.  Obviously, I haven't been using this yet.  Things may change over time (and I'm sure they will).  BUT, I feel like if I use a folder, I can either send it back and forth from home to school or I can send it home if we suddenly go virtual.

Distance Learning

Parents typically aren't going to have supplies readily available at home.  This toolbox will give them many supplies that can help with math skills and ELA skills for students kindergarten to second-grade.  I will also probably send home some hands-on supplies with my students if I am allowed (tens frames, dice, cubes, etc.)
